Yes, sweet, you read that correctly. Did you know about them?<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Textured soy protein is isolated soy protein.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It's a high-quality plant protein, and we usually use it as a meat substitute because, per 100 grams of product, it contains approximately 50 grams of protein. Additionally, it's low in fat, rich in fiber and quality carbohydrates, and lacks sugar and salt.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In general, we use it in empanadas made with <a href=\"https:\/\/holaveganc1dev.wpenginepowered.com\/empanadas-de-carne\/\">plant-based meat<\/a>, for <a href=\"https:\/\/holaveganc1dev.wpenginepowered.com\/hamburguesa-carnosa-sin-carne\/\">hamburgers<\/a>, breaded cutlets, <a href=\"https:\/\/holaveganc1dev.wpenginepowered.com\/albondigas-veganas\/\">meatballs<\/a> y <a href=\"https:\/\/holaveganc1dev.wpenginepowered.com\/pastel-de-papa\/\">meatloaf<\/a>. It is almost always used as a substitute for meat in traditional preparations, generally hydrated, well washed, drained, and re-seasoned and cooked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But there are other ways to use it. First of all, it can be used raw. That is to say, textured soy can go directly from the package to your palate. This is because the production method includes cooking, and that makes it fit for human consumption. Have you ever tried using it without hydrating it? Did you know about this other way to incorporate it? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Did you know that, due to its neutral flavor, it can also be used in sweet preparations? Obviously, we're talking about textured soy, the kind that comes unflavored and all that.
